Western Star 6900XD

Western Star 6900XD

The heaviest-rated truck Western Star has ever built.

The twin-steer 6900XD is rated to a 146,000-lb GVWR — up to 36,000 lb on its two front steer axles and 110,000 lb on the rears — making it an off-highway extreme-duty hauler that dwarfs an ordinary Class 8. A legacy line still built for specialized mining and heavy-haul work even after the X-Series arrived.
