Launched in 1988 as Western Star's lighter, city-focused line, the 3800 was the brand's entry into medium-duty delivery and vocational work, and remains one of the legacy series (alongside the 4800, 4900 and 6900) covered in Daimler's official Western Star heritage parts resources.
