Based on the compact 220 cabover, the Model 220EV is Peterbilt's first electric medium-duty truck, a zero-emission Class 6/7 cabover offering up to about 100 miles of range and a Meritor Blue Horizon eAxle that mounts the motor inside the axle to free up frame space for batteries. Peterbilt delivered the very first 220EV to PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division in 2019 for local delivery routes in Modesto, California.
