Ram 5500 Chassis Cab

The heaviest Ram you can buy.

The 5500 is the heavyweight flagship of Ram's chassis-cab line, a Class 5 truck rated up to a 19,500-lb GVWR and a gross combined weight of up to 43,000 lbs. It launched under the Dodge brand for 2008 (debuting at the Chicago Auto Show in February 2007), when Dodge called the commercial-vehicle market "essentially white space" for the brand as it charged into the Class 4-5 segment; Ram only became a standalone brand the following year. Sold bare for upfitters, it offers cab-to-axle lengths up to 120 inches for landscaper, dump, gooseneck, and service bodies.
