BYD 8TT

Battery-electric Class 8 day cab.

Billed by BYD as the first commercially available all-electric Class 8 day cab tractor, the 8TT is assembled in Lancaster, California by SMART union labor and pairs a 422 kWh (or 563 kWh extended-range) lithium iron phosphate pack with a 483 hp drivetrain. In October 2019 Anheuser-Busch ordered 21 of them for its California beer-distribution fleet, a deal BYD called the largest Class 8 electric truck deployment in North America at the time.
