About the Peterbilt 389

The Model 389 was Peterbilt's flagship long-hood conventional and a premium throwback prized by owner-operators, famous for the longest, lowest hood the brand ever built. Peterbilt produced the final 389 in 2024, ending the 359/379/389 family's roughly 57-year run and retiring the 300-series lineage; the new Model 589 took over its mantle.

About the International LoneStar

Unveiled at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show -- billed as the largest road vehicle ever shown at the event -- the LoneStar was Navistar's premium flagship, its swept-back grille and hood styled as an "Advanced Classic" inspired by the late-1930s International Harvester D-series. After a run spanning the 2009 to 2024 model years, the final LoneStar (the 7,077th unit built) rolled off the Chatham, Ontario line in December 2023 and was delivered to a Canadian carrier that had helped develop the truck.
